Netflix dropped the official trailer for Season 3 of “Stranger Things’’ Wednesday morning, and fans are getting an eyeful. By noon, the video already had almost half a million views and was trending on Twitter.

While there wasn’t a lot of plot revealed, viewers caught glimpses of all of their favorite characters preparing for the summer of their lives. Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), Will (Noah Schnapp), Max (Sadie Sink), and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) were seen surprising Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) and making waves in their own social lives.

“We’re not kids anymore,’’ Mike says in the trailer. “I mean, what did you think, [that] we were just going to sit in my basement all day and play games for the rest of our lives?’’

Fan favorites Joyce (Winona Ryder), Hopper (David Harbour), Steve (Joe Keery), Nancy (Natalia Dyer), and Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) also showed up in the trailer, naturally.

Amid shots of a carnival, mall, beach, and the Hawkins newspaper, there were also terrifying signs of the supernatural “Upside Down.’’
