Jennifer Garner ‘blessed’ Instagram with an April Fools’ joke

Turns out the actress isn't writing a memoir after all.

Tom Brady wasn’t the only celebrity to pull off an April Fools’ Day joke.

Actress Jennifer Garner released an Instagram video Monday morning, purportedly announcing her new memoir, “Bless Your Heart.”

“This whole process has been humbling and illuminating, taking me deep into places I didn’t even know I could go,” Garner wrote on Instagram. “Thank you to every one who helped bring these stories to life and held my hand along the way. The time has come for me to share it—I can’t wait to hear what you think.”

Later in the day, Garner updated her Instagram post and confessed to “playing a joke” for the holiday.

This isn’t the first time Garner has blessed someone’s heart: In a 2016 Vanity Fair interview, Garner evoked the popular turn of phrase — and in doing so was widely quoted — when talking about her then-estranged husband Ben Affleck’s large and colorful back tattoo.

“You know what we would say in my hometown about that? ‘Bless his heart.’ A phoenix rising from the ashes. Am I the ashes in this scenario?’’ Garner said, before adding, “I take umbrage. I refuse to be the ashes.’’
