Even when the music stops at Boston Calling each night, the show will go on.
With the festival set to end before 11 p.m. each night, Chromeo, Lil Nas X, and other festival acts have scheduled shows that will keep your head bobbing well into the witching hour.
Most recently, The Grand nightclub in the Seaport announced that it will host the official after-party for “Old Town Road” rapper Lil Nas X on Saturday, joining a slate of official Boston Calling after-party performances at the Sinclair in Cambridge.
Here’s an updating list of after-parties featuring Boston Calling artists.
Boston Calling’s official after-party artist of the night is New Orleans funk and soul group Tank and the Bangas, who will play a show with gothic blues singer and fellow Boston Calling artist Adia Victoria at the Sinclair starting at 10:45 p.m. Tickets are general admission, and will run you $35.
Saturday’s Boston Calling after-party at the Sinclair will be a DJ set from Big Red Machine: a collaboration between Aaron Dessner, a Boston Calling founding partner and The National singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist, and Justin Vernon, who co-founded the Eaux Claires music festival with Dessner and is the founder and frontman of indie-folk band Bon Iver. Tickets to the show, which will also feature UK DJ Naeem and starts at 10:30 p.m., will cost $20 in advance and $25 at the door.
As noted above, Lil Nas X will also play his own after-party at The Grand. Doors will open at 9:30 p.m., and tickets start at $30, with pricier VIP options also available.
And while comedian and Milton native Jenny Slate isn’t exactly doing an after-party, she is performing a set at the The Wilbur shortly after her Boston Calling performance on Saturday. Tickets for the 7 p.m. show cost $49.
On Sunday afternoon, The Grand announced on Instagram that it will be holding the official after-party for headliner Travis Scott. Doors will open at 10 p.m., but given that Scott is scheduled to be on stage at Boston Calling until 10:50 p.m., expect his performance at The Grand to happen a bit later. Tickets start at $30, with pricier VIP options also available.
Boston Calling’s official after-party is at The Sinclair, and will feature a DJ set from Montreal electro-funk duo Chromeo. The show, which will also feature Boston-based DJ Joe Bermudez, will kick off at 11 p.m. Tickets cost $22 in advance and $25 at the door.
