Weymouth middle school’s Halloween medley is the talk of Twitter

Christina Aguilera is among the lip-dub's noted fans.

Call them the Adams family.

Despite wet and windy weather conditions this Halloween, the Abigail Adams Middle School celebrated in spooktacular fashion this year, bringing together students, teachers, and staff for one of its famed lip-sync videos.

Starting with the “Addams Family” theme song, the impressive clip winds through the middle school’s hallways and covers a coven’s worth of other festive songs, including Christina Aguilera’s “Haunted Heart” (written for this fall’s animated “Addams Family” update), Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” and tracks from two 1993 Halloween classics: “This Is Halloween” from “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” and “I Put A Spell On You” from “Hocus Pocus.”

Since Halloween, when it was uploaded to Vimeo and posted on Twitter, the lip-sync video’s been racking up views – and earning praise from some unexpectedly official quarters.

“THIS IS WONDERFUL,” declared the main Twitter account for “The Addams Family,” suggesting that Aguilera check it out.

The pop star promptly did so, adding her own words of encouragement. “Awww guys!” Aguilera said. “This #HauntedHeart Lipdub by this Boston middle school is SO GOOD and SO SWEET!! LOVE IT!”
