Bruce Springsteen may be almost 50 years older than “Saturday Night Live” host Timothee Chalamet, but the Boss still brought a youthful energy to the newest episode of “SNL,” performing two songs alongside The E Street Band.

Springsteen and co. started the evening off with “Ghosts,” the second single off of his recent album “Letter to You.”

It sounded like Springsteen occasionally struggled to hit a few notes, but he made up for it with his sheer presence, prowling the stage alongside axman Steven Van Zandt.

As the episode neared its end, Springsteen returned to perform “I’ll See You in My Dreams,” the closing track off of “Letter to You.”

While a few fans on Twitter had hoped to hear “Santa Claus is Coming to Town,” the studio audience appreciated the pick, serenading Springsteen with shouts of “Bruuuuuce” to close the show.
