Watch John Krasinski impersonate Tom Brady on ‘Saturday Night Live’

"I'll be rooting for ya Tom Brady, because you're the only goddamn thing this country can still rely on."

John Krasinski as Tom Brady on "Saturday Night Live."

John Krasinski wasted no time acknowledging his Massachusetts roots while hosting “Saturday Night Live.”

During the cold open, a talk show hosted by Kate McKinnon about “things in America that still work,” Krasinski made an appearance as former Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

After concluding that the country’s government, stock market, and vaccine rollout definitely don’t work, McKinnon was left with Brady as the only thing Americans can rely on.

“My point is, you still work,” McKinnon told Krasinski. “You’re supposed to win football games and you just keeping winning football games.

“You might be the only thing in America that still works,” McKinnon continued. “So I guess everyone must be rooting for you right?”

“Almost no one,” Krasinski said, smiling.

While Krasinski’s impression of Brady was mostly toothless, he did manage to slip in a joke about the quarterback’s association with Donald Trump.

“You know what? I’ll be rooting for ya Tom Brady, because you’re the only goddamn thing this country can still rely on,” McKinnon said. “And it’s not like you’re a weird Trump guy, right?”

“Thanks for having me!” Krasinski said, promptly exiting stage left.
