Season 26 of “The Bachelor” premiered Monday night on ABC, and one of the women seeking love this season is a Massachusetts native.

Genevieve Parisi, 26, a bartender originally from Rehoboth who now lives in Los Angeles, was one of 30 contestants vying for the affection of Clayton Echard.

A 2013 graduate of Bishop Feehan High School, Parisi bills herself as a “small-town girl living in Los Angeles” on her Instagram. According to her show bio, Parisi is looking for “a passionate man” who has a good relationship with their mother and can have “deep, meaningful conversations.”

A lover of fishing who doesn’t like public speaking, Parisi wants a man “who can flirt with her well past the first date and make their love go the distance,” per her ABC bio.

On Monday’s premiere, Parisi was one of 19 women to receive a rose from Echard and move on to the next episode. The duo showed an early connection, with Echard telling Parisi, “We are going to have a lot of fun, I can tell.”

Parisi was back in Boston visiting family for the holidays, posting photos on Instagram taken in the Seaport December 26.

Parisi wasn’t the only contestant on Monday’s premiere with a local connection. Daria Rose, 24, and Kira Mingastu, 32, are both Harvard graduates, while another two contestants are New England natives — 26-year-old Tessa Tookes from Stamford, Connecticut and 26-year-old Jill Chin from Scituate, Rhode Island. (Of the aforementioned four, only Daria was eliminated on Monday’s episode.)
