Picture this: New Balance invites you to hang out in their new Flagship Store. It hasn’t been opened to the public yet; it’s the first Flagship Store in the U.S., and second in the entire world. But you’ve been asked to come, accompanied by Red Sox players Brock Holt and Christian Vazquez.
That’s exactly what happened to five children from the West End House Boys and Girls Club in Allston, who spent their Wednesday morning at the brand new New Balance location in Brighton. The children were given a tour of the retailer, which earned its “flagship” title with features like a shoe manufacturing area (yes, you can now watch New Balance shoes get made right before your eyes) and “customization bars” that allow you to custom-order sneakers to be delivered to your home.
The children didn’t leave the store empty-handed, either—New Balance gifted them merchandise, including their own pairs of sneakers.
The New Balance Global Flagship Store in Boston Landing is located at 140 Guest St. in Brighton.
