Hundreds of Santas took over Boston today
There was no shortage of holiday-themed events in the city.
Fans of running and drinking in holiday-themed costumes were in luck Saturday, with at least four events sending hundreds of people dressed like Santa into the streets of Boston.
The first event of the day was the Ugly Sweater 5K run at Suffolk Downs, where runners got in an morning workout while wearing their holiday best and enjoying some complimentary cocktails.
In the early afternoon, three Santa-themed events took over three of the city’s neighborhoods. The Santa Speedo Run featured hundreds of Speedo-clad Santas running a quick one-mile loop through the Back Bay before gathering for some post-race libations.

Meanwhile non-running Santas gathered at Game On Fenway for the beginning of the free SantaCon bar crawl, while a second group of Santas kicked off Santa Crawl 2016 at a number of bars in the Faneuil Hall and North End area.
