The NHL is throwing a party on City Hall Plaza, and you’re invited.

To celebrate the start of the Stanley Cup Final on Monday, the league has partnered with the City of Boston and Mayor Marty Walsh to host a free outdoor concert and viewing party. Lil Nas X, the rapper behind the ubiquitous song “Old Town Road,” and country music star Chase Rice will headline, the NHL announced Friday.

The festivities will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, with musical acts going on at 6 p.m. When Game 1 gets going at 8 p.m., video screens will allow attendees to watch the Bruins take on the St. Louis Blues less than a mile away at TD Garden.

No tickets are required for the event. Food truck fare, as well as beer and wine offerings, will be available on-site. A Bruins pop-up shop will also be set up, allowing guests the opportunity to stock up on official Stanley Cup Final merchandise.
