A trio of dining spots opened across the Hub this week, including the highly-anticipated La Brasa in Somerville, the fifth Legal Sea Foods location at Logan Airport, and J.P. Licks a la Assembly Square.
1. La Brasa opens — for Real
The talk of Somerville for the past couple of years has been the now-open La Brasa on Broadway. The restaurant, run by Daniel Bojorquez (formerly of L’Espalier and Sel de la Terre) had a soft opening last week and formally announced its full menu and cocktail list were available Thursday.

Boston Magazine got a sneak peek at the restaurant’s menu, and the dishes on the docket don’t disappoint.
Separated into categories like beef, chicken, vegetables, and snacks, items include tecos de carnitas, collard green pie, harissa grilled chicken breast, and lamb shank pozole. Personally, I’m pumped to try the Benton’s cured ham with rhubarb, ginger chutney, and toast. Mom always said I was Southern at heart.
2. Legal Sea Foods Opens Fifth Logan Airport Location
Twenty years after the first Legal Sea Foods opened at Logan Airport, the fifth opened in the Terminal B connector on Wednesday. The new, relatively small spot features a 31-seat, full-service bar and offers take-out, making it perfect for the single-party, traveling folk, and small groups alike.
The location’s “scaled’’ back all-day menu was designed to reel in people on quick layovers with choices like chowders, salads, sandwiches, and some seafare.
3. J.P. Licks Opens at Assembly Row
It may have been chilly this week but that didn’t stop ice cream lovers from indulging in a frozen treat on Thursday night at J.P. Licks’ new Assembly Row location in Somerville. The new ice cream shop location is part of “Boston’s very first outdoor living room’’ according to Assembly Row’s Facebook page.
