Boston will soon be hosting a new, evening food truck program in Franklin Square called Boston StrEATS.

Produced by the Food Truck Festivals of New England, the program will bring live music as well as eight different food trucks to the South End location every Thursday night from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Boston StrEATS, the city’s first evening food truck program, is also being organized in cooperation with the Blackstone/Franklin Square Neighborhood Association and the Friends of Blackstone and Franklin Squares.

“This has been a true team effort and we are excited to bring a great group of food trucks to one of the City’s nicest parks on a weekly basis.’’ Anne-Marie Aigner, founder of the Food Truck Festivals of New England, said in a press release.

According to Boston Magazine, the program will feature some of the area’s top food trucks, including The Chubby Chickpea, M&M BBQ Ribs, Captain Marden’s Cod Squad, the Pasta Pot, Frozen Hoagies, Trolley Dogs, Evan’s NY Style Deli Food Truck, and the Taco Truck.

Boston StrEATS kicks off in Franklin Square later this week on Thursday, Aug. 14.
