Last December, Runkeeper held its first virtual 5K race, drawing over 101,000 participants from 182 countries.

Later this month, the Boston-based fitness company will be encouraging runners to lace up once again.

Runkeeper will hold its second-ever virtual Global 5K on May 28 and 29, according to the event’s registration page.

The 5K is described on its page as “a free virtual race that can be run anytime at any place.”  Runners from all over the world are invited to run 3.1 miles in their respective cities over the weekend with the goal of creating a running community and beating last year’s 101,561 participants.

If runners really want to feel official, they can even customize and print out their own race bib for the big run.
