Pet owners don’t have to leave their furry friends behind when they head out to celebrate the holidays this season. Here are five pet-friendly events where animals can join in the revelry.

Attend an ugly Christmas sweater party with your dog in Sharon

Picture this: Pet owners drinking wine while their dogs receive massages. This really will all happen at the “Ugly Sweater & Sip Social” benefiting PAWS New England at the Boston Wine School in Sharon on Dec. 1 from noon to 2 p.m. Both humans and dogs are encouraged to wear ugly Christmas sweaters to earn extra raffle tickets. The former will receive wine discounts, free professional digital photos with their pets, and free wine-shaped dog treats.

Join a Reindog Parade in Plymouth

Dress your dog in his or her holiday finest for a festive Reindog Parade on Dec. 1 at 3 p.m., during the 14th Annual Holidays on the Green at the Pinehills Village Green. You can register for the parade, hosted by Kiss 108’s Lisa Donovan, beginning at 2 p.m.

Get your pet’s photo taken with Santa in Boston

The Prudential Center is partnering with the MSPCA to offer pet photos with Santa on Dec. 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. The MSPCA will be on hand to greet pets and pet owners, who must pre-register for the photos here. The event is for cats and dogs only, and pets must be on leashes. Packages start at $19.99.

Go to Yappy Hour at a brewery in Hyannis

Sip a beer while your pup snaps photos with Santa at Cape Cod Beer’s free Yappy Hour event, taking place Dec. 11 from 4 to 6 p.m. Dogs should be friendly and on a leash.

Take your dog Christmas tree shopping in Sutton

As long as they are leashed, dogs can accompany families as they search the fields at Davagian Tree Farm in Sutton for the perfect tree to cut down. The farm offers pre-cut trees as well.
