6 local spots where you can take photos with Santa this holiday season

Some of the pictures are even free.

‘Tis the season for photos with Santa.

If you’re looking to snag some face time with the big guy this holiday season — and to preserve it with a picture — the following local spots are all offering photo ops leading up to Christmas.

Prudential Center in Boston 

Your family can pose with Santa at the Prudential Center during various hours through Dec. 24 and buy photo packages that begin at $19.99. On Dec. 9 from 9 to 11 a.m., a sensory-friendly Santa will spend time with special needs children in a non-stimulating, controlled environment (register here). Kids at this event will also be able to make cards for veterans. (800 Boylston St., Boston)

CambridgeSide in Cambridge

Through Dec. 24, each visitor who snaps a pic with Santa at CambridgeSide will receive two free 4-by-6-inch photos and a high-resolution digital download of a single image. While at the mall, visitors can help needy kids by taking an ornament off of the Salvation Army Angel Tree located at the Welcome Center and purchasing the gift wish from a local child that’s printed on it. The tree will be available through Dec. 16. (100 CambridgeSide Place, Cambridge)

Westgate Mall in Brockton

Westgate Mall is also offering free photos with Santa. Each family will receive two free 4-by-6-inch Santa photo prints and a digital download single image. (200 Westgate Drive, Brockton)

Bass Pro Shops in Foxborough

After your kids get a free 4-by-6-inch photo with Santa at “Santa’s Wonderland” through Dec. 24, they can make holiday crafts, write letters to Santa, and more. The first 100 kids to take a photo with Santa each Monday through Thursday also will receive a free plush toy. (1 Bass Pro Drive, Foxborough)

Natick Mall in Natick

Natick Mall visitors who buy the premium Santa photo package will get a free personalized video with their photos. The mall also is offering a $5 discount to families who reserve a time slot online this Monday through Wednesday. Package prices range from $39.99 to $49.99, and Santa will be available until Dec. 24. (1245 Worcester St., Natick)

The Shops at Chestnut Hill in Newton

You can skip the line to see Santa at The Shops at Chestnut Hill by reserving a “Fast Pass” appointment online. Santa photos will take place through Dec. 24, and photo packaging prices range from $37.99 to $52.99. (199 Boylston St., Chestnut Hill)
