Remember last summer? Last summer was rough. Sandwiched between an initial first wave of the pandemic and a second surge, many of us spent the summer foregoing travel plans, staying inside, cancelling weddings and birthday parties, and relegating happy hours to Zoom. Fun was not had by all.
But this summer looks a little different. While we should still be vigilant about keeping ourselves and others safe by following social distancing requirements and wearing a mask, the widespread availability of vaccines has given us hope that this summer could actually be…great?
After more than a year of hunkering down, plans to have the Best Summer Ever are starting to materialize. There are whitewater parks to visit. New hobbies to start. Music festivals to attend. Clam shacks to frequent. Road trips to make and (small) weddings to go to and beaches to tan on. Barring another COVID-19 surge, we’re making the very most of this summer.
We want to hear from you: Now that the future is looking a little brighter, what summer plans have you most excited? In the survey below, tell us about the hiking trips you’ve planned, the new sport you’re hoping to pick up, the friends and family you’re going to see — anything and everything that has you gearing up for an excellent summer.
