An Amazon store dedicated to its popular items is coming to the Natick Mall

It will be the fifth "4-Star" in the U.S.

Amazon may be best known as an online shopping giant, but its 4-Star project wants to bring you out from behind the screen.

Amazon 4-Star, a destination offering highly-rated goods from the site, will open a location in the Natick Mall on Wednesday, Oct. 2. It will be the first store of its kind in the Boston area and the fifth nationwide, joining locations in Berkeley, Calif.; Lone Tree, Colo.; New York City, and Seattle.

Unlike its other brick-and-mortar ventures Amazon Books and Amazon Go, these stores carry a variety of products from Amazon’s popular categories, including books, consumer electronics, devices, games, home, kitchen, and toys. All items in the store are top sellers, new and trending, or rated four stars and above on Amazon.com.

The layout of the store is similar to how you would browse online — products are grouped into sections such as “New and Trending from Amazon.com,” “Most-Wished-For Books on Amazon.com,” “Tailgating Essentials,” and “Our Picks from Amazon’s Top 100 Toys.” Review cards boasting quotes from real customer reviews will also be displayed.

The store will be located at 1245 Worcester St. in Natick. Its hours of operation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
