Ben Affleck is back in The Town this month (get it?) to shoot his latest movie endeavor: Live By Night, an adaptation of Dennis Lehane’s Boston-based 1920s crime drama of the same title.
So far, Affleck — who’s starring. directing, and producing — has been spotted shooting in Georgia. He also tweeted a pic from his first day on set. IMDB lists Sienna Miller, Zoe Saldana, and Chris Messina as actors also starring, and Leo DiCaprio as a fellow producer.
Here, all of the additional info you might want to know before the Live By Night shoot makes its way to the Bay State.
The movie is scheduled to film on Friday, November 20 and Saturday, November 21 in Boston’s North End, per NorthEndWaterfront.com. Production will take place in the area of Margaret and Prince Streets, and traffic restrictions will begin on Monday, November 16. Here’s even more info.
WHDH.com and Merrimack Valley’s Eagle-Tribune reported recently that Live By Night is moving production to downtown Lawrence, Massachusetts. The director of public works in Lawrence told the Tribune that city workers had to remove signs and dig up roads in preparation for the movie crew’s arrival.
Lawrence Superior Court on Appleton Way will serve as a bank in the movie during a car-chase scene. The Tribune also has a list of traffic restrictions for those folks living in the area.
So when’s this all happening? The shoot in Lawrence begins Thursday. A casting call from C.P. Casting in Boston also says shooting in Massachusetts extends until November 25 in Lawrence, North Andover, and Boston (with the exception of November 12, 21, and 22).
On that note, C.P. Casting is still looking for background extras. They have an application here for both SAG and non-SAG actors interested in potentially seeing Batman in the flesh.
Update November 12: This post has been updated to include information about Live By Night’s scheduled shoot in the North End.
