Ben Affleck’s new Boston-based crime drama has a release date

Live by Night will hit theaters in the fall of 2017.

The Boston movie machine is still a-crankin’: Ben Affleck’s Prohibition-era crime drama, Live By Night, has been given a release date of October 20, 2017, Deadline reports.

The movie, which is based on the novel of the same name by Dorchester author Dennis Lehane, began filming in October 2015. Affleck directed, adapted, and starred in the flick, parts of which were shot right here in Boston.
