Rob Gronkowski’s 2021 is off to an action-packed start.
After helping Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers capture a Super Bowl earlier this month, he’s set to appear in a Hulu movie called “Boss Level,” which premieres March 5.
The movie features Frank Grillo, Mel Gibson, Naomi Watts, and Ken Jeong, among others, and Gronkowski plays a role as well. At the 35-second mark of the trailer, Gronkowski is shown mercilessly firing a gun from a helicopter.
“Boss Level,” an action sci-fi movie, was filmed in Atlanta in 2018. It was originally supposed to be released in 2019, but a distribution deal fell through. Hulu then bought it for eight figures in November 2020, according to Deadline.
The movie centers around Roy Pulver (Grillo), who is trapped in a time loop that constantly repeats the day of his murder. As Hulu notes in a press release, Pulver “uncovers clues about a secret government project that could unlock the mystery behind his untimely death.”
Gronkowki previously had a cameo in the “Entourage” movie and appeared in “You Can’t Have it” and “American Violence.”
