Boston Calling’s weekly block party series returns this Thursday in its new location in Dewey Square.

The festivities, previously held on Summer Street in Downtown Crossing, will run from 5 p.m.-8p.m. every Thursday through Sept. 25, kicking off with a performance by The Swinging Johnsons on May 8.

Fans can check out the rotating schedule of local artists on the weekly event’s Facebook page.

The series coincides with Boston Calling’s pair of spring and fall three-day music festivals, which will take place May 23-25 and Sept. 5-7, respectively.

The block party series is free and open to the public, however, it is restricted to fans 21 and over.
