Here’s something to add to your summer plans: Sting and Peter Gabriel are coming to Massachusetts for their co-headlined tour.
Dubbed “The Rock Paper Scissors’’ tour, the iconic artists will swing by 19 North American cities, and Worcester is one of them. The pair will perform at the DCU Center on July 2.
The musicians first toured together in the ‘80s in the Amnesty International’s Human Rights Now tour. For this one, they’ll play separate sets but will also be “melding their bands to explore each other’s most celebrated hits,’’ according to a statement on Sting’s website.
“I’m very happy that we’re taking the chance to experiment this way,’’ Sting said in the statement. “I think people will be intrigued, I certainly am.’’
Tickets go on sale January 25. If you’re a member of the Sting.com Fan Club, you can access presale tickets January 20. More tour information can be found at livenation.com, sting.com, and petergabriel.com.
