Livestream: Berklee guitarist and singer-songwriter Leo Varella will perform on Tuesday and Berklee College of Music are collaborating on a virtual concert series from local artists.

In an effort to provide some virtual entertainment during the coronavirus pandemic, is teaming up with Berklee College of Music student concert producer Victoria Verba to bring readers livestream performances from artists spanning genres including jazz, R&B, pop, and more. The performances take place on’s Facebook and Instagram pages, and readers can vote for a song for the artists to cover before the livestream.

The next performer in’s livestream concert series with Berklee College of Music is Leo Varella, a guitarist and singer-songwriter from Brazil. He’ll be performing on’s social media pages Tuesday starting at 5 p.m.


Drawing inspiration from Prince, Seattle grunge, and ’90s breakbeat loops, Varella’s groovy and dynamic first single “Over It” has garnered airplay on Brazilian radio stations. The 23-year-old Berklee student is currently working on his debut EP, which is set to release this summer.

Varella will perform a short set on Instagram at 5 p.m. EDT and Facebook at 5:30 p.m. EDT on Tuesday.
