Thrillest.com has ranked the Bay State tenth in the nation for our beer.

Samuel Adams, of course, had something to do with it. But other breweries such as Harpoon and Night Shift, Clown Shoes, Trillium, and Jack’s Abby, factored in as well.

Samantha Joy, from Washington D.C., enjoyed some brews recently over at Harpoon. She posted this pic to Instagram, writing “Thanks for the good times #boston #harpoon #brewery #beer #stout #wickedawesome’’

Wondering which states beat us out? New York, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Vermont, Washington, Michigan, Colorado, California, and Oregon.

The judges, who took on the arduous challenge of drinking and evaluating beer for weeks on end, said they took quantity and quality into account, as well as historical significance (go us!).

But, alas, we keep getting beat out by the same states.

In the spring, Boston was ranked fourth among the “7 Best Cities for Beer’’ by Oyster.com. Once again we were beat out by Colorado (Denver), California (San Diego), and Oregan (Portland).

That’s fine. But do they have a Bacon and Beer Festival? And do they drink their beer in the historic Fenway Park, like Jillian Sesar did this past weekend (regardless of how our team is doing, what beats Fenway as a backdrop for brews)?

#Winning.
