Two neighboring brunch restaurants in Somerville are at it again, according to a new magazine article.

The owners of Sound Bites and Ball Square Café have been squaring off for the better part of the past decade, Boston magazine reported in its May issue. Their simmering feud became public in 2010, when Sound Bite’s owner Yasser Mirza spit in the face of Ball Square Café owner Mike Moccia, leading Moccia to retaliate with two punches to Mirza’s face.

Since that incident, the conflict between the two restaurant owners has become more subtle, but arguably no less hostile. Their alleged tactics now include conveniently timed car alarms, unexpected health inspections, and negative Yelp reviews, according to the Boston magazine story.
