These local restaurants will be at America’s Test Kitchen’s new food festival

For 25 years, people have welcomed America’s Test Kitchen into their homes, learning from and being entertained by the company’s TV shows, magazines, and cookbooks. This fall, the company is returning the favor by inviting people to its new Seaport home for a two-day food festival.

America’s Test Kitchen Boston EATS will take place on Oct. 27 and 28 at the Seaport’s Innovation and Design Building, which will be the new headquarters of the media company.

“Our first-ever food festival is a unique chance for fans to visit our new test kitchen, to hang out with our talented cast, and taste the very best food from Boston’s very best restaurants,” said ATK CEO and Chairman David Nussbaum in a press release. “We’re so excited to welcome food lovers to Boston’s very best food party.”

Night one of the festival has been dubbed Taste of Innovation. Emceed by ATK hosts Bridget Lancaster and Julia Collin Davison, the event will feature top local chefs teaming up with ATK’s on-screen test cooks to prepare two different recipes using a local ingredient.

Some of those local chefs will include Jody Adams (TRADE, Porto), Tiffani Faison (Tiger Mama, Sweet Cheeks), Will Gilson (Puritan & Co.), Tony Maws (Craigie on Main, The Kirkland Tap & Trotter), Carla and Christine Pallotta (Nebo Cucina & Enoteca), Michael Schlow (Tico, Doretta Taverna & Raw Bar), and Jeremy Sewall (Island Creek Oyster Bar, Les Sablons).

“We could not be more excited by the dynamic collection of restaurants and chefs participating in the festival,” said ATK CCO and longtime cast member Jack Bishop in the release. “Our initial lineup both represents Boston’s boldface culinary names as well as neighborhood favorites.”

The second day of the festival features an event dubbed Boston EATS, which will feature tastings from more than 30 local restaurants, cooking demonstrations, interactive panels, and book signings. Also on Saturday is Backstage ATK, billed as a “behind-the-scenes look at the real America’s Test Kitchen.” The entire ATK cast will host an intimate cooking demonstration, and guests will be able to tour the new 55,000 square foot facility and visit the new sets for America’s Test Kitchen and Cook’s Country.

Tickets for America’s Test Kitchen Boston EATS are available on the festival’s website. Taste of Innovation tickets are $125 for general admission and $200 for VIP admission, which gets ticket holders in one hour earlier than general admission does. Boston EATS tickets are $100 for general admission. Backstage ATK tickets are $350.
