Go Skiing this weekend!

Over the past several ski seasons, I have pounded on the table telling all of you to, “Be Ready!” I have watched the radar. Read the snow reports and in-between the lines within.

The Current Assessment: New England is looking at the best ski weekend we have seen prior towards New Years in as long as I can remember (that is usually two minutes). Really, condotions are as good as they get this time of year. The new snow totals have been munificent to our mountains. Why not reap the benefits. Check out you favorite area: LINK

Tip: Sunday River gave out a ton of vouchers for tickets that are still valid. I think you can get some on the Message Board.
Whatever, the skiing is high season right now. Therefore, if you are going to pay dollars for snow this weekend is a good time to step up. Here is why…
• Terrain has doubled at most areas in the last 5 days
• Every mountain has received plenty of natural snowfall
• Snowmaking has been online for a couple weeks
• Great weather on tap for both days of skiing, temps in mid 20’s
• Still early season, do your shopping in the north country
• Conditions are really going to be excellent
What else are you going to do?

S.G. Attack Plan: After surveying the options and taking in reports, I am going after snowmaking. Okemo has the most trials open. I realize this is only a statistic. However, I am giving them the early season look. That is my move. Ski Saturday morning until I am done. Stretch out. Sleep. Ski again Sunday, first chairs style. Get back to the Hub for the Patriots game @ 4:15. Watch them win and live to ski again next weekend.
Weather: Snow is in the forecast Friday into Saturday morning. I am thinking we see 3-5 of fresh for most of the ski areas. My destination gets 4 inches…hopefully. Temps should be warm in the mid 20’s for most areas both days.
Get out on the snow and enjoy.
