Hometowns welcome Olympians back

New England’s medal-winning Olympians have been the toasts of their perspective towns lately. Last Friday, moguls gold medalist Hannah Kearney was feted with a parade that spanned both her hometown states of New Hampshire and Vermont. On Saturday, Maine native Seth Wescott will be honored at Sugarloaf (more than 2,000 people showed up to celebrate Wescott in 2006) for his gold medal snowboardcross performance. Cannon Mountain’s “Bode-fest,” the New Hampshire area’s annual charity event with native Bode Miller, sold out within hours yesterday. And bronze medalist Scotty Lago was awarded the key to the city of Seabrook, N.H. during his hometown celebration over the weekend.

No, Lago did not put the key in any compromising position.
