Free skiing, Wachusett announces end-of-season pass

Lunch won’t be free. The skiing will be.

Thanks to a variety of local sponsors, Black Mountain of Maine is offering free skiing every Friday this month, including tubing. The deal is good from 4-9 p.m. at the Rumford mountain, which boasts 22 trails. Normally, night skiing runs from 6-9 p.m. and costs $10.

Speaking of free skiing, Shaw’s is offering 500 free lift tickets to either Wachusett or Waterville Valley with the purchase of four boxes of Quaker oatmeal. Lift ticket requests are first come, first served. One grand prize winner will win a two-day stay at Smuggler’s Notch.

And speaking of Wachusett, the Mass. ski area just announced its end-of-season pass, which is good beginning March 1 through closing day, for just $139.

Speaking of closing day…let’s not, shall we?
