Memorial Day Weekend, the unofficial start to summer, may be only a little more than two weeks away, but just in case you haven’t completely switched the dial on the seasons, Vermont’s Jay Peak will re-open Saturday morning for one final weekend of skiing and riding.
Yes, there’s still plenty of snow, as Jay received some 400 inches this past winter, and as an added bonus, skiers and riders can also golf this weekend at the resort’s championship golf course. It is the first time that the ability to “ski and tee” has been offered at Jay Peak.
For $39 skiers and riders can purchase a lift ticket that also includes lunch, or $59 will net you a day on the hill, plus nine holes of golf.
May 15 will mark the latest date that Jay Peak has ever run its lifts. It is also the only ski area that remains open in the East.
