Help support the Jimmy Fund at the annual Snow Challenge at Nashoba Valley
The 19th annual CSC Jimmy Fund Snow Challenge is scheduled to take place on Feb. 1 at Nashoba Valley Ski Area in Westford. The challenge has raised more than a half-million dollars since it began 18 years ago.
The event includes team and individual ski and snowboard racing starting at 9 a.m., a barbecue lunch, and an après ski party and auction beginning at 3 p.m., where Dana-Farber patient Jack Whelan will be the patient speaker . Whelen, 66, is from Andover, and was diagnosed with Waldenström macroglobulinemia, a rare and incurable blood cancer, when he was 58.
