Local ski areas are getting into the business of Black Friday and Cyber Monday with some deals of their own on lift tickets and lodging.
The first 50 people to visit Wachusett’s MTNside Ski and Ride Shop on Friday morning and purchase one of three COW gift card packages will also receive a complimentary early-season lift ticket. Cow cards can be purchased in any denomination and can be redeemed for lift tickets, rentals, cafeteria purchased, etc. On Friday, $50 will also net you a Wachusett holiday ornament, $80 a Wachusett T-shirt, and $90 a Wachusett hooded sweatshirt. Purchases must be made in-store.
Liftopia, an online discount lift ticket marketplace, has already launched its Black Friday preview. Some of the deals available include Mount Snow lift tickets starting at only $12, Stratton starting at $25, and Mad River Glen two-day tickets starting at $42.99. www.liftopia.com.
Bolton Valley will offer four different deals on Cyber Monday at www.boltonvalley.com. Early-season lift tickets (valid opening day through Christmas) will be $20. The ski area’s new “Ski Bum” pass, an unrestricted season pass for anyone ages 18-25, will be $199, $70 off the regular price. The Powder Pass Lite, which includes five night lift tickets, will be $99, and purchasers of a $100 gift card will receive a free lift ticket. The deals go live at midnight on Dec. 1.
Sunday River will be offering rooms at its Snow Cap Inn for as little as $59 on Cyber Monday at sundayriver.com. The rates will be available from 8 a.m. – 10 p.m. and will be good for dates through April. Lift tickets will also be available at 20 percent off window rates.
