Visitors to Stowe can watch ice carvings, experience the ice slide, and see a fireworks display and torchlight parade at Stowe Mountain Resort beginning at 7 p.m. Check the event calendar for activities going on through the holiday season.

The Grand Summit Resort Hotel at Mount Snow is hosting a family-friendly New Year’s Eve celebration that includes a DJ, an adult and children’s buffet, hats and noisemakers, and a champagne toast and a cash bar for those 21 and older. Smugglers’ Notch kicks off New Year’s Eve with family entertainment, dance parties, a bonfire on the Village Green, and fireworks and torchlight celebration. Special New Year’s Eve dining options will also be available. The Wobbly Barn
Party central doesn’t slow down on New Year’s Eve. The Wobbly Barn, a restaurant and club in Killington, Vt., is hosting a New Year’s Eve party. Pre-purchased tickets are $70 with a $30 gift certificate to use in the restaurant between 4 and 6 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. Any remaining tickets will be sold at the door that evening for $50. Okemo Mountain Resort

Cranmore Mountain Resort
Cranmore Moutain Resort welcomes families to “Cranapalooza,’’ a winter celebration with face painting, s’mores, games, music by the Tugg Brothers and a magic show. Waterville Valley Ski Resort
Waterville Valley Ski Resort is hosting its annual New Year’s Eve Celebration in the town square. Along with dog sled rides, sleigh rides and ice skating, there will be a fireworks display over Corcoran’s Pond at 7:30 p.m. Check the website for more details.

Celebrate the new year for three days straight at the Omni Mount Washington. Starting Dec. 30, enjoy The Mount Washington Hotel with either a black tie dinner or a family buffet. Then, dance the night away at the hotel’s New Year’s Eve party. Visit the website for more information.
Sugarloaf’s Family New Year’s Eve Party in the King Pine Room from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. will include a show from Fred Garbo’s Inflatable Theater. The fireworks show will take place at 9:15 p.m. Admission is just $1 per person or a non-perishable food item to be donated to area food pantries. Sunday River will be celebrating the holidays all vacation week long, but has a few extra special events planned for New Year’s Eve. There will be a family pizza buffet, a champagne dinner at the peak, numerous parties with live entertainment and a fireworks display at 8:30 p.m. The resort also has holiday packages starting at $139 that include lodging, lift tickets and clinics.
