If your ski trip isn’t complete without a solid après-ski, you may want to head to Vermont this winter.

Two places in the Green Mountain State landed on USA Today’s list of the 10 best après-ski bars in North America, released on Friday. While the Double Diamonds Bar in Steamboat Springs, Colo. snagged the No. 1 spot, the Wobbly Barn in Killington ranked No. 4.

“Built from repurposed New England barns, the Wobbly Barn in Killington has been serving hungry and thirsty skiers since it first opened in 1963,” the publication wrote. “Part steakhouse and part nightclub, the Wobbly is fun all around, and they even offer a free shuttle up and down Killington Road on ski season weekends.”

Meanwhile, General Stark’s Pub in Mad River Glen came in at No. 7 and was lauded for its party atmosphere.

“During the winter months, skiers in the know head to General Stark’s Pub after a day on the mountain at Mad River Glen,” USA Today wrote. “The menu features a sizable list of Vermont micro brews, as well as pub fare. Saturday night parties and live music most afternoons make General Stark’s among the liveliest watering holes around.”

For the 10Best Reader’s Choice Awards lists, USA Today travel experts select 20 nominees in topics that range from food to lodging, destinations to things to do, and then ask readers to cast votes to determine the top 10.
