Larry David does pretty, pretty good Bernie Sanders impression on SNL

“What’s the deal with emails anyway?’’ the creator said as Sanders.

Larry David may not bear the striking resemblance to Bernie Sanders that Tina Fey did to Sarah Palin, but the Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm creator had the Vermont senator’s voice and mannerisms down cold as he portrayed him in Saturday Night Live’s cold open this week.

After delivering Sanders’ now famous line about Hillary Clinton’s emails during the scene on Tuesday’s Democratic presidential debate, David went into a very Seinfeld-esque rant.

“And hey, what’s the deal with emails anyway?’’ he said. “I forgot my password the other day, so they say, ‘We’ll email you a new one.’’’ But I can’t get into my email to get the password! I mean talk about a ballbuster!’’

What did Sanders think of the performance?

“I think we’ll use Larry at our next rally. He does better than I do,’’ Sanders joked on ABC’s This Week Sunday.
