It was a big week on The Bachelor: Ben brought his six girlfriends home to Indiana to see the place where he grew up, which, as it turns out, is a place Ben is super proud of. It’s a big deal to make it this far on the show, but an even bigger deal if a contestant makes it to the week after: when the Bachelor visits the contestants’ hometowns.
Caila Quinn, the contestant with local ties, moved to Boston to go to college and now works in Dedham. But in Monday’s episode, she told Ben she was insecure about not having “deep roots’’ anywhere:
I’d moved probably about 17 times before college. I don’t have deep roots if I bring him back home. My parents are all I have and that’s all I need. I hope my family is enough.
Ben asked if she’d feel comfortable staying some place long-term. Caila dished him a response about how she always felt like “moss trying to find the perfect tree to grow with.’’ It seemed to work because Caila moved on to next week. Thank goodness for similes.
