Watch Doug Flutie dance to ‘Sweet Caroline’ on Dancing with the Stars

Doug Flutie paid tribute to Boston in the best way possible during Monday’s premiere of Dancing with the Stars.

The former Boston College performed the foxtrot to “Sweet Caroline” with his partner Karina Smirnoff.

He also spoke about Boston in his introduction video, saying he wanted to “bring it home” for the city.

“Boston means a lot to me,” Flutie said. “The people in New England mean the world to mean.”

Unfortunately, the judges didn’t think his performance was “so good, so good.” Flutie scored only five out of 10 points from all three judges.

Flutie then called on Boston to to keep him in the competition by voting.

“We need you Boston,” he pleaded. “We need you Boston, San Diego, and Buffalo.”

Other contestants on the 22nd season of Dancing with the Stars includes two other NFL players, Antonio Brown and Von Miller, Full House actress Jodie Sweetin, and Good Morning America”’s chief meteorologist Ginger Zee.
