Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren has not been quiet about her dislike of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump—she’s called him a loser and a bully, and she went off on him again during Wednesday’s episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Colbert stoked Warren, quoting how Trump calls himself a winner and noting that Trump never broke the law. Warren acknowledged that Trump’s main claim is that he’s a winner in business, but the truth is that he inherited a fortune from his father and kept it going by “cheating and defrauding people.”
“We have an economy that’s in real trouble,” Warren told Colbert, “but when the economy is in this kind of trouble, calling on Donald Trump for help is like if your house is on fire, calling an arsonist.”
Colbert also asked the question so many people did at the beginning of this presidential race—why didn’t she become a candidate?
“Every single day I get out there and do what the people of Massachusetts sent me to do,” she replied. “And God, this is a fabulous job.”
