Anna Maria College will host the 2019 Edith Mooney LaVigne Lecture Series featuring author Maureen Cavanagh on Wednesday, February 13 at 11am at the Zecco Performing Arts Center. Maureen Cavanagh’s memoir “If You Love Me” is the story of a mother who
suddenly finds herself on the frontlines of the opioid epidemic as her daughter battles – and ultimately reckons with – a substance use disorder. Maureen is the founder and president of Magnolia New Beginnings, a national nonprofit peer-support organization that assists those living with or affected by a substance use disorder. This lecture series is the legacy of Edith Mooney LaVigne ’63, beloved Anna Maria alumna and Trustee.
