Artist + Illustrator Drawn to Ecology, Alyssa Black

“Woodlands + Wildlife: Beauty in Diversity,” 

The Opening Reception is on Jan. 12th in the Vine Hall Gallery. The event is free & open to the public with light refreshments. Artist Alyssa Black will be offering a workshop focused on drawing in winter the morning of January 12. Visit www.ssnsc.org/online-registration click art for additional details & to register.

Alyssa’s passion is introducing people to the beauty of the natural world around them through art. With a background in Landscape Architecture, she helps to translate science into relatable & fun illustrations. Her hope is to inspire people to learn about the ecology in their area & get outside to enjoy it because when you experience nature you become a happier person, which brings more joy into the world. 

The exhibit showcases the ecology of New England with eco region maps, scientific tree illustrations, mountains, fungi, and pollinator species.
