Event Details

Nothing says New England clam “chowda” like Boston Harbor and The Barking Crab, the urban clam shack open year-round and located in Boston’s Seaport neighborhood. To celebrate National Chowder Day on Saturday February 25th, 2017, guests can enjoy a free cup of award-winning New England clam chowder with any food or beverage purchase!

From 11:30AM to 10:00PM, guests can sit by the cozy indoor fireplace and enjoy a free cup of chowder to compliment any beverage or libation of choice including any of the twelve regionally crafted draft pours like the signature Barking Crab White Ale ($6) and Crabby, Lager Wachusett ($6). Opt for something refreshing like the Crabby Margarita with jalapeno-infused tequila, blood orange liqueur, house-made sour and fresh lime ($8), Mayday Martini with Stoli O, Chambord and Grand Marnier ($10), or the true seafood lover’s Oyster Shooter with a freshly shucked oyster, vodka and house-made Bloody Mary mix ($9.50).

Celebrate National Chowder Day like a true New Englander at The Barking Crab with complimentary clam chowder, a relaxing drink and the beautiful view of the water and city. Limit one cup of chowder per person; chowder only available with any food or beverage purchase from The Barking Crab’s menu. About The Barking Crab:

Located on the edge of Boston’s historic Fort Point Channel, The Barking Crab has become one of the city’s best-loved meeting and eating spots. 2014 marks our twentieth year of operation. Opened in May of 1994 as an outdoor summer restaurant, we were known for our first three years as Venus — Seafood in the Rough. After a successful second season, the restaurant expanded into the adjoining Neptune Lobster and Seafood Market, adding a wood-burning stove and becoming a year-round operation. Not the “typical” Boston seafood restaurant, The Barking Crab offers the casual atmosphere of a coastal clam shack in a funky urban setting, with a marina alongside for easy access by water, and all the exciting resources of Boston only a short walk away. Our menu concentrates on fresh seafood and offers our local take on the urban New England Clam Shack. Our wait and bar staff are cool, friendly and knowledgeable. And we can accommodate you whether you’re dining alone or arriving with two dozen of your closest friends. Come join the fun! The Barking Crab is located at 88 Sleeper Street, Boston, MA 02210. For more information please call The Barking Crab at 617.426.2722 or visit barkingcrab.com.
