Band Presents “A Belated Fourth of July  Concert” on July 11 at 6:30 PM

FARMINGTON: The popular Farmington Community Band presents “A Belated Fourth of July Concert” on Thursday, July 11 at 6:30 pm in downtown Farmington. Under the direction of Trisha Craig, the band will perform Sousa’s “Liberty Bell March”, “Marches of the Armed Forces” and “American Patrol”. The audience will sing-a-long with “You’re A Grand Old Flag”, “I’m A Yankee Doodle Dandy” and “America the Beautiful”. The program concludes with “The Stars and Stripes Forever.”

The outdoor concert will be on the grounds of the First Congregational Church in Farmington. Chairs will be set up for the audience. People are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. The “original” Farmington Franks meal will be served at 6 pm. The public is invited to make tax deductible donations to the band following the concert. In case of rain the concert will be in the church.
