Nature, Chaos and Hope on Exhibit at Twiggs Gallery
Twiggs Gallery in Boscawen, NH is hosting a gallery talk and artists’ reception for their new exhibit “Interwined: Nature, Chaos, Hope…” on Thursday, September 13th from 5-7 pm. For this exhibit, the artists created work based on the duality of nature, an exploration of the delicate fragility and the powerful forces of the natural world. The artists will speak about their work, their inspiration, and their creative process at the gallery talk at 6 pm. The exhibit opens September 8th and is on view thru October 28th, 2018.
Tracy Hayes, Victoria Hussey, William Turner and Gretchen Woodman, became friends while pursuing their MFA degrees at the New Hampshire Institute of Art. During many conversations, they realized their common interests in culture, humanity and ecology. Woodman’s work explores the animal/human relationship. Turner portrays nature decomposing the man-made machine thereby crumbling industry into rust and moss. Hussey’s mixed media landscapes explore organic forms and elemental forces, while Hayes images are suggestive of a behind-the-scenes view of nature winning over human chaos. Collectively, their work suggests a vision of hope for a symbiotic relationship with all life.
