(NH – March 13, 2018) Roots of Creation (RoC) adds more dates to their highly anticipated coast-to-coast Grateful Dub 2018 tour! Highlights from the 33+ dates, winter tour have included supporting Wyclef  Jean (The Fugees) at Jannus Live in St. Pertersburg, performing with hot, up and coming Reggae/Rock acts – Kash’d Out (Orlando, FL), who just released a new single and video for “One + Off” (on Pepper’s LAW records), and The Elovaters (Boston, MA), who just got out of the studio recording their new album with producer, Danny Kalb (The Movement, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, Ben Harper). Additionally, RoC is excited about returning to Stratton, VT on March 24th for the band’s follow-up to supporting The Dirty Heads.

RoC’s Grateful Dub Spring Tour officially kicks off in Canton, NY at The Java Barn at St. Lawrence University on April 12th. The Ethan Tucker Band will be joining the tour for the added dates in Oregon and Washington. Rounding out the Spring tour, RoC head out to the west coast, performing at the amazing Kaya Festival w/ The Marley Brothers (feat. Stephen, Ziggy, Damian, Julian) on April 28 – 29th in San Bernadino, California.

RoC is on tour supporting their critically-acclaimed new album, Grateful Dubthat was recently released worldwide March 9th, 2018 on the band’s label, Bombshelter Records, in collaboration with Controlled Substance Sound Labs (distribution: SRG-ILS via Caroline/Universal Music Group). The new record was recorded, mixed, and co-produced by Errol Brown (Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Rebelution), and features collaborations with Stephen MarleyG. LoveMelvin Seals (Jerry Garcia Band), and more! (Order here.)

The album’s lead single, “Ripple” (feat. G. Love & Melvin Seals) premiered earlier this month on Relix.  RoC’s Brett Wilson and G. Love caught up with Relix and said, “G. Love & Melvin Seals paying homage to Jerry and the boys behind an acoustic campfire style roots reggae vibe…. what more could you want?! We really love the instrumental section with the dubs, drops and interplay between Andrew’s Sax and G’s harmonica. G and I started jammin’ together at Slightly Stoopid’s mexican getaway festival—Closer to the Sun—and really hit it off over some epic poolside late night jam sessions. Melvin played on our last album Livin Free and the first live debut of the Grateful Dub at Jerry Jam Festival in Bath, NH. Since then we have all become good friends and collaborate whenever possible.” G. Love added, “Killer to get to play some harmonica on this skank version of one of my favorite Grateful Dead tunes. Roots of Creation got it right.”

The second single off the new record, “Casey Jones” (feat. Dan Kelly of Fortunate Youth) premiered recently with Jambase. Jambase spoke with Brett who recalled, “ The bounce and groove of this track is one of my favorites. Especially [RoC keyboardist] Tal’s [Pearson] super dope Clav work. It’s been a blast watching the reactions in the crowd as we open each show on the Grateful Dub Tour with a ‘Shakedown Street’ instrumental tease melding right into ‘Casey Jones.’ We have always been fans of Fortunate Youth. They love to jam just like us. Dan Kelly and I decided to work together on this track when we were kickin’ it in the RoC van at Jammin Java in Vienna, Virginia a couple months back (which I ironically we played again as a headliner last night). I thought he would be perfect for verse three and he nailed it. His ad-libs really turned up the vibe and made it a party! We gave him some shine by taking the skanks out, letting the drum and bass thump while his unmistakable vocals echo and reverberate over the track. The original guitar solo is so perfect on this track…You know it’s an iconic guitar ripper when you can sing the whole part note for note. Hope all of our fellow Deadheads join us on this Long Strange Grateful Dub trip on one of the boys biggest sing-a-long anthems.”

The third single, “Fire on the Mountain” featuring Stephen Marley and Marlon Asher was featured on Billboard.com and stated, “Lead vocalist Brett Wilson’s soulful voice and guitar playing, combined with Marley’s cutting-edge vocals, make for a compelling rendition of the Dead classic.”
