The Phoenix, an innovative and free sober active community, will host workouts each Thursday beginning July 11 in partnership with the Rose Kennedy Greenway Summer Fitness Series. The free workouts will range from bootcamps to HIIT, all taking place outdoors, weather permitting, with The Phoenix instructors adapting each class for every fitness level.
The Phoenix is a nonprofit organization whichhas inspired more than 28,000 individuals across America to redefine recovery. Through a unique model of leveraging physical activity and social connection, The Phoenix aims to help people heal from substance use disorder and thrive in recovery. All Phoenix classes are free of charge for anyone with a minimum 48 hours of continuous sobriety and led by instructors in recovery themselves.
The Summer Fitness Series offers free fitness classes throughout locations within the park on varying days and times to support the Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy. All fitness levels are encouraged to participate.
