The Carr Center is proud to host the winners of "THE RIGHT CUT" international human rights film contest!
In collaboration with Un Mundo Sin Mordaza, (A World without Censorship), and the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies (DRCLAS), the Carr Center will screen the five winning films, and host a panel discussion with Winning Director Maria Moron and HKS student (and Un Mundo Director) Rodrigo Diamante.
The Carr Center will screen the five winning films in the following categories:
• Best Short Film Winner: "La Tumba" from Venezuela. Director Marie E. Moron will present on her film and host a discussion after the screening
• Short Film with Best Photography: "Drugs" from Afghanistan
• Short Film with best Screenplay: "Karachaganak: Children in Exchange for Oil" from Kazakhstan
• Short Film with Best Director and with Best Editing: "La Tumba" from Venezuela
• Short Film with Best Human Rights Message and with most "Likes" on our Facebook Page: "Chalchihuapan un año sin justicia" from Mexico
