The South Shore Natural Science Center is pleased to announce a call for entry for their winter Juried Art Show – Views of the North River & Beyond: New England in Winter.Two dimensional, framed, artwork in the following medias: oil, watercolor, acrylic, pencil, pastel, mixed media and photography will be accepted for an upcoming exhibition in the Vine Hall Gallery. Selected entries will be on display in SSNSC’s Vine Hall Gallery from February 6 – March 3, 2019.The winners will be announced at a “Meet the Artist” Reception on Friday, February 15 from 5:30-7pm.The public is invited, and light refreshments will be served.
The Vine Hall Gallery is a multi-use space that provides a place for local artists to share their artwork depicting the natural world.This show highlights the beauty of New England in the winter.Programs and exhibits in Vine Hall are partially funded through a Cultural Investment Portfolio Grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
The South Shore Natural Science Center is a nonprofit organization affiliated with the South Shore YMCA and is dedicated to educating the public about the natural and cultural environments of the SouthShore.Their mission is to provide natural science experiences that educate, excite, and commit every generation to preserve the environment and to encourage responsible use, stewardship, andenjoyment of our natural resources.
