Kenny Chesney will give country fans a chance to chill and relax — chillax, if you will — at Gillette Stadium next summer.

On Monday the country star announced new dates for his 2020 Chillaxification Tour, which will once again culminate at Gillette Stadium, this time on Aug. 27 and 28, 2021.

The shows will mark Chesney’s 20th and 21st performances at the home of the New England Patriots. They will replace shows delayed by the coronavirus pandemic originally set to be held on Aug. 28 and 29, 2020.

“I kept talking to experts, city officials, team owners, medical people, looking to understand how we were coming along with resolving the health issues,” Chesney said in a press release announcing the rescheduled shows. “I had kept hoping that as time passed, information would not only increase, but there would be some sort of solution so people could come back together. But things weren’t getting any clearer, so I did the hardest thing for me, but obviously best option for the safety of No Shoes Nation, my road family and everyone at the buildings involved.”

The 2021 shows will feature the same guests as the originally scheduled 2020 shows: Florida Georgia Line, Old Dominion and Michael Franti & Spearhead. The show will be produced by Messina Touring Group in conjunction with Kraft Sports and Entertainment.

Fans who bought tickets to the 2020 shows but are unable to attend the 2021 shows have 30 days to request a refund. Tickets purchased for the 2020 show will automatically be valid, so replacements do not need to be ordered.
