Is this thing on? Kings Back Bay has an announcement to make: The dining and entertainment venue will open a new karaoke bar Saturday, and they want you there to show off your pipes.
Located in a former private events room, Backstage Karaoke Bar has been made “Don’t Stop Believin'”-ready with professional karaoke equipment and a thorough song library to choose from. While waiting for their turn, singers can pop into a photo booth with costumes and props, or order from Backstage’s full-service bar or King’s food menu, which includes comfort food bites like pizza tacos, buffalo chicken wontons, and a selection of burgers.
To celebrate its debut, Backstage will host a grand opening party on Feb. 29 from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. with complimentary bites, a free shot of “liquid courage,” and other opening-day festivities. The party is free to attend, but guests will need to register here.
Backstage will be open every Wednesday through Saturday from 8 to 11 p.m., when singers will be able to perform their best rendition of “Wonderwall,” “Sweet Caroline,” or “Uptown Girl” — or perhaps something a little more original.
Do you have a favorite karaoke song? Take our poll below and let us know what you’d choose to sing in front of an audience, with or without a shot of liquid courage.
