No, it wasn’t an April Fool’s joke: On April 1, Polar Seltzer announced the release of its 2021 summer collection, a lineup of five tropical, bubbly flavors that can be found wherever Polar Seltzer is sold.
As is tradition, there are a few new flavors and some old standbys in the newly released line-up.
This summer’s collection includes the introduction of three new seltzers: a cocktail-inspired Watermelon Mojito, a pineapple- and cherry-centric Tropical Cherry, and Pink Summer Iced Tea, the last of which is only available as a one-liter bottle. The other flavors are all available in cans, too.
“Imagine your favorite raspberry iced-tea lemonade made entirely of bubbles, water, and great-tasting giggles,” Polar Seltzer said in a press release about Pink Summer Iced Tea. “This is it.”
Two popular flavors from last year’s collection have returned: Blackberry Mango Punch and Strawberry Margarita. Polar Seltzer called them the salutatorian and valedictorian, respectively, of this year’s lineup.
The Worcester-based seltzer company has encouraged fans to spread the news of the 2021 launch, offering a “Breakout Summer ’21” T-shirt to 100 social media followers who share a post or story on Instagram or Facebook with the hashtag #PolarSeltzer.
Polar’s last release was a limited edition bottle dubbed “100.” The citrus and strawberry flavor celebrated the company’s 100th recipe since its inception in 1882.
